Nature Kids Solano: ABOUT

ABOUT

Nature Kids Solano was created in January 2016, by local mom and nature enthusiast, Dana Vandeweg. We are a community-based, volunteer-run, outdoor playgroup and nature club, based in Solano County.

Our goal is to help you and your children connect with nature, get outside and spend quality time together -- all while having fun and making new friends. Our activities and outings are engaging, physical and creative -- a little guided structure, but mostly fun, unstructured, play-based learning.

We are a multi-age playgroup -- current age range is primarily grades K through 6. However, kids of all ages are welcome to participate. Our group is inclusive, and welcome all, and is a great option for homeschooling families.

Primary meet-up dates: We currently meet on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, with added dates and special events mixed in.

Members are welcome to meet whenever it suits their schedule. It's free to sign up -- JOIN US today. You can check out some of our past meetups on our home/blog page.

Charlotte-Mason Inspired Nature Study Co-op

We offer members Charlotte Mason-inspired Nature Study utilizing Exploring Nature with Children. Nature study meetings are held on select Wednesdays throughout the year, 10 am, in Vacaville.  Our co-op uses ENWC curriculum and journal, and is a gentle, year-long, outdoor nature study program, which includes: reading, poetry, art study, themed nature exploration, and walks.
